My podcast is a self-introduction aimed at my statistics students. Ok, so this isn't the best thing in the world, but it is a start. Getting this uploaded was not as easy as I thought. OurMedia doesn't really give you much on instructions, other than use SpinXpress. SpinXpress did the upload, but didn't really tell me where everything went. Ok, so maybe I'm not looking in the right spots.

Welcome to Mrs. Rice's experiment in blogging. Since I'm doing this in my persona as a teacher, I'm Mrs. Rice, the evil math teacher. I'm really Janet Rice and I teach precalculus and statistics, so my primary interest in this course is to learn ways to use technology to help my students learn. This will be my sandbox to test out new ideas and see how all this technology can be used.

- I've been a math teacher for the last five years, but before that I was a materials engineer for over 25 years. So, ok, I'm a bit odd - but normality has never been all that interesting (except of course for the normal distribution)

You almost made me want to take your class, and that's really something. I think it's so important for students to know who we are and why we're doing what we do, so your intro will be a wonderful starter--just enough information without giving them more than their teen minds want to know. This was a good, well-planned podcast. I like the simplicity.

I bonded with your podcast! I too am a northeasterner, had a former career before teaching and enjoy the "messing with their heads" aspect! Great approach for upper grade kiddos.
